I found a photo essay in TIME that shows pictures of what's on family dinner tables in fifteen different homes around the globe. It includes a photo of the family in the kitchen, surrounded by all the food they consume in a week, and detail on how much it costs. It is pretty interesting. Below is a picture from a family in Ecuador. I can identify with the food they eat. For them it costs only about $30, for my family in PR a grocery list like this would cost close to $150.
